Destination Designer and founder of Design Nation. Specialised in design thinking for responsible tourism management and destination development.
In my profession as Destination Designer I have had the fortune to travel the world. I have been working extensively in rural communities, especially in the Nordics, which has brought me to peoples homes. That is what I really like - to connect to people and co-create with a purpose driven mindset. I grew up in a small village in Småland in Sweden. I love outdoor and nature. The mountains, the sea, the forest and the vast open wilderness. At the same time I also work in placemaking and planning for urban environments. I can see how important it is not to polarise between urban and rural, but more see to the ”rurban”. I advocate sustainable development for real, focusing on regenerative design, inclusive processes and collective efforts.
I consider the purpose of my profession is to engage communities to work together, out from shared understanding of preconditions, values and visions. Focusing on destinations by communities for communities.
