Experimental design through interdisciplinary matchmaking - Bringing together designers, artists, material researchers and scientists.Identity, Concept, DevelopmentMaterial Depot was a specific seminar series focusing on new materials and research and design, which took place in 2017 and 2018. It was carried out in collaboration between SPOK, Form/Design Center, Art & Science Initiative and Southern Sweden Creatives. Design Nation was engaged in the initial steps building up the concept, bringing people together and designing the logotype.Within Material Depot the project What Matter_s were developed that has been very successful. What Matter_s is a project that brings together designers with actors from academia and business to create new materials, innovative concepts and business opportunities based on sustainable development. The project has attracted a great deal of attention both nationally and internationally and shows the potential of interdisciplinary collaborations. Through these cross-fertilizations, we can visualize complex research and advance the positions in the work for a more sustainable future.
